What Printing Methods do you Use?

Custom Printed Apparel:

Our printing methods include screen printing, digital transfer, Direct to Garment and heat-applied vinyl, depending on the characteristics of the art being applied. Our in-house production department is equipped to handle any order that you can dream up! For quantities under 6, we use our digital transfer process, heat-applied vinyl process or a Direct to Garment process. For quantities over 6, we use screen printing. Depending on the characteristics of the art being applied, we may choose to use one method over another regardless of quantity, to achieve the best result for your design. Cad-Cut Decals:

Decals are cad-cut to your design specifications with one of our large format plotters. They’re made from 6-year premium vinyl and are pre-masked for easy application. They are NOT printed, so please design accordingly by using solid colors. If you’re looking for custom printed stickers instead of cut decals, please choose that option in the designer.

Custom Printed Stickers:

Custom printed stickers are digitally printed in bulk on our large format printers, then cad-cut around the design if necessary and hand-cut into individual stickers. They will resist fading and are guaranteed not to peel if applied correctly. These stickers are printed in FULL COLOR. If you’re looking for cad-cut decals instead of printed stickers, please choose that option in the designer.

Buttons:

Buttons are digitally printed in full color and hand-assembled with a plastic covering and a pinned back. They will resisting fading for years and years.

Etched Glass:

Our glass is permanently etched according to your design specifications. The nature of the process allows for only one color – the natural etched glass – so please design accordingly. We cannot color the etched glass.

What sort of art do you accept?

Via the design tool, you can upload JPEG, GIF or PNG files.  Please upload files with a least 300dpi resolution for apparel and decals, and at least 200 dpi for stickers and buttons. Uploaded art must be AT PRINT SIZE or larger. For example, if you want your image to print at 12″ wide on a shirt, your uploaded file must be at least 12″ wide at 300dpi (you can resize it in the designer after uploading). Alternatively, you may use our collection of 20,000+ clipart images pre-loaded in the designer. They are pre-set to the correct resolution, so you’re free to re-size and move them around as much as you want!

Can I make artwork of ANYTHING?

Almost. We have the right to refuse any order that we may feel is inappropriate. Inappropriate in this context means any content that contains the messages against any race, social class, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, disability, political belief or religion, or any message that may otherwise be considered harmful. We will also refuse any order that contains copyrighted or trademarked content. Orders containing these types of content will be refused WITHOUT REFUND.

How will my product will look after I design it on-screen?

If you use our art guidelines above, your art will be reproduced exactly as it appeared on screen, to the limitations of the equipment and technology used to create the product. Poor resolution art, or art that needs to be increased substantially in size to print, will result in a poor reproduction on the product. Keep in mind that some products, like t-shirts, will not hold the same detail as a piece of photo paper merely due to the limitations of the material itself. For this reason, we don’t give refunds because an image on a shirt or product doesn’t equal the print quality of a photo.

Please be aware that product images in the design tool are representations designed to aid you in creating your designs. They’re not photographs of the actual products and should be used only to aid you in your design creation. We make every effort to represent colors accurately, but because of variances in computer monitor displays and manufacturer dye lots, they may vary slightly from the actual product. I did my best at designing my product, how do I know if it’s good enough?

We know that you want a great looking product, and we want to make a great looking product for you! We will make small adjustments in alignment if it’s obvious that you were attempting a certain look (like an arc or a centered image) in order to achieve the best print possible.  If there are other issues that need to be sorted out before printing, we’ll contact you before production begins. If your supplied art is not of acceptable quality, we will attempt to notify you immediately.  At that point our art department can work with you on improving your art to an acceptable quality so we can print the job.  If you choose not to use our art services, or if the quality of the supplied art is just too poor to produce an acceptable product and there are no other options, we will need to refuse the job and refund your payment.

Imprint areas are indicated on all products.  If artwork is located outside of the imprint area we will CROP the image to the imprint area.  Often customers have large images of which they want to reproduce only a small section, so we crop to the indicated bounding box rather than resize the image so that you can precisely locate the art on your product.

What is your Turnaround Time?

Typical turnaround is 10 business days plus shipping time from your order date. A 5-day rush option plus shipping time is available during checkout, and other rush options, including rush shipping, are available – just contact us! We make every effort to meet shipping deadlines, but because of potential last-minute artwork or order changes, rush times are not guaranteed in every circumstance.

We take all major credit cards and payment is processed by Paypal.

Is my payment and personal information secure?

Payments are processed on our website using Paypal’s secure payment gateway. Therefore, we do not see your payment information at any point during your order. In addition, paypal utilizes the world’s most advanced proprietary fraud prevention systems to create the safest and most secure on-line transaction system. We never see your credit card information unless we need to process additional payments after your initial purchase. We only use your shipping address to process your order, and we will never sell or distribute your personal information, or use it for purposes other than order fulfillment. We hate spam as much as you do.

How do I wash my new products?

Etched glass can be washed in any household dishwasher. Decals, stickers and buttons can be wiped with a damp rag – we don’t recommend using harsh cleaners on those products. Garments should be washed inside-out in warm water and hang-dried or tumble-dried on low heat. You can iron the garment, but do not iron the design itself.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders can be canceled within 24 hours of your order. Because production of screens, ink mixing and film prints begins almost immediately following that, full refunds are not given after that time period. After the 24 hour cancellation period, we will only be able to issue a 50% refund due to materials already ordered and/or consumed for your order. After 48 hours your order will be in full production and while we can still cancel your order if you require that it not be shipped, no refunds of any type will be given after that time period.

How do I return an item?

Satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are unhappy with your order because of a manufacturing defect, we’ll happily accept a return or exchange for the damaged items. If returned, we will offer a full refund minus shipping charges, provided they are unworn, unwashed, there is no damage and it is within 30 days from the date of your order. If exchanged, we will do so at our cost but will not issue a refund of the original order. Please contact us for return or exchange authorization. We cannot accept returns or exchanges for errors in the design process. The design shown on-screen will be the design printed, so double check spelling and layout before placing your order!
